Track Description:

Lipphead, the production duo composed of veteran producers Blockhead (Ninjatune, Future Archive Recordings) and Eliot Lipp (Alpha Pup), deliver an effortless groove that combines jazz-inspired percussion and dazzling brass instrumentals on their latest track ‘Unisax Romper’.

The second single to be taken from their forthcoming full-length LP ‘From The Back’ – slated for release via Detroit label Young Heavy Souls – ‘Unisax Romper’ highlights the pair’s masterful ability to create a captivating listening experience without taking themselves too seriously. Perfectly capturing their sound, Lipp remarks:

“‘Unisax Romper’ really packs a lot of instruments into one song. I’m not sure how they managed to fit them all into their studio; a string section, flutes, drum kit, congas, a wild saxophone player, and they even had room leftover for some bass-slappin’. The lonely piano outro really tops it off. This is a hot bowl of funk stew, a crock pot of lipp-smackin’ goodness.”

With their characteristic production prowess, Lipphead has once again pushed the boundaries of electronic music, showcasing their ability to blend genres and create something entirely fresh and exciting. ‘Unisax Romper’ is a testament to their innovative approach to music-making, as they continue to push the envelope with each collaboration.
