Track Description:

Eliot Lipp is a masterful multi-genre electronic producer hailing from the USA. Career highlights have seen him work alongside the likes of Blockhead (Ninja Tune) and release on both Ghostly International and Prefuse 73’s record label.

This year Lipp has been in fine form and hot on the heels of his collaborative album with  Blockhead comes another single from the forthcoming solo LP ‘Encounters’ (due November 2022). Drip-feeding track releases since the tail end of summer he’s already garnered strong support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and Jazz FM.

This latest track lifted from the album - ‘Guitar Maniacs’ is a fun and easy-going number with (as the title suggests) slick funk guitar vamps, dusty boom bap beats, and super tight production that’s brimming with texture.

A smooth drum groove provides the strong backbone in this one. Jazz guitar takes centre stage throughout and provides a killer lesson in simple but totally effective hook writing. Electro funk influences seep through with plucky synths and subtle vocal chops keep the track moving but watch out for the silky switch-up too as deft synth swells and a low-pitched guitar progresses this one further. A wicked track that holds it down in a way that is certain to get your head nodding.
